ABOUT THE PROJECT:

In May 2008, I was living in Atlanta trying to make it in the music biz… and had made almost NO progress.

So, I decided to take on the daunting task of producing a music video each week for a whole year. I started the project on Sunday, May 25, 2008, and ended it on Sunday, May 17, 2009, with the goal being to (a) get my music out, (b) show people my beat-making/song-writing talent, and (c) somehow, get paid.

At the beginning of the project I was living in a studio apartment in Atlanta, working as a server.  I recorded everything inside my apartment using a Compaq Presario PC laptop and a H2 Zoom radio microphone. I had very few friends (not because I couldn’t get any, but because most of the friends I have are ones I made in college, and most were not in Atlanta) and spent most of my time off-work creating music and thinking up videos.

By the end of the project, I was living in Burbank CA, making music from a MAC computer, working at home.  I released 3 mixtapes, 2 albums, sold a lot of songs (especially “Obama Milli Remix”), and completed 54 music videos.  Oh, and a LOT of friends I went to school with live out here, so my social life is also MUCH better than it’s been since I graduated. 🙂

So, what happened in between all this to make these moves possible? Easy: I just kept making videos.

But, for a more detailed insight, check out the links below.  Each link will take you to one of the videos made during the project.  At each link, you will read:
